What kind of cultural environment do we need in America to revive rock and roll?

Yes it did evolve though your assertion that "it really just isn't as good as it used to be" is just your opinion. In my opinion it's better, it's much more diverse today than it's ever been in it's history. I'm sorry if your only indication to music is what's popular or the radio but that's the breaks when you let others feed you music. I prefer to feed myself!

Revival anything is for those that can't deal with the future.

None, I like rock and roll the way it is.

Rock guitar and rap beats are kinda of a better version of original rock and roll.

Original rock and roll, and heavy metal are great.

But metal-rap, that's awesome.

There shouldn't be any changes.

But they should make rock/metal with rap beats albums again!
Good music comes about when people have a desire for real quality music that has a purpose besides hitting the charts. I'm pretty optimistic about the future though, I think the internet is allowing people to become much more involved in music and develop better taste. What kind of cultural environment do we need in America to revive rock and roll?
There's always more good bands if you're willing to look for them. There are as many bands now as there ever have been, and because of the internet, it's easier than ever to find them. Either, you just haven't looked, or you're too narrow minded to give new things a chance.
Corporations need to wield less power, people more.

(edit: You can TD me all you want, but my answer is precisely the whole purpose of the indie rock movement. I don't think Warner Brothers is gonna revitalize rock music)What kind of cultural environment do we need in America to revive rock and roll?
You're listening to mainstream shet .. where "rock" music is played for all the wrong reasons.

Underground clubs is where it's at.

Bands who LOVE to play music for fun, and not to make money or score record deals.
It isn't dead, it has just evolved.

Words like "good" and "bad" express opinion.
The best rock and roll bands were british....so I've no idea.
