What is rock and roll?

I have a rock and roll themed dance coming up, and I have no idea what it is. Does anyone have any suggestions on what a grade eleven girl can wear/how to do her hair/makeup? Many thanks! :)What is rock and roll?
firstly: if you don't know what rnr is then you have not LIVED!

Now.

Hair: huge, loads of volume. curly if you wanna look like jimmy page. straight if u wanna look like David Bowie when he was in the Labyrinth.

Shoes: PLATFORMS or converse, but PLATFORMS.

Clothes: if you want to go for the bowie glam look I would wear a sparkly 80s suit jacket (even if you are female) and then leggings or skinny jeans. if you are going for the tough rocker look then baggy or bell bottom jeans, with a tshirt.

makup, smokey eyes or draw a lightening bolt on your face.
hmmmm so you're going to have a rock and roll themed party and not even know what it is....thats like frenching 20 guys and not knowing how to french...haha!



everyone has their own definition of rock and roll..everyone has their own ways and beliefs on what is and what isn't. Do some reasearch. I can tell you for one that rock and roll is about being yourself and not giving a damn about what others think..you know like that one cat who said "I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not" or some ****...



Now in days, everything sounds the same...everyone dresses the same..theres no borderline of what is and what isnt..but back then, if you loook at ozzie, and metallica, pantera, white zombie, the rolling stones, all those bands....there's a huge difference on sound and everything. There's diversity. Now, everything just sounds and looks the same.
