How did Elvis Presley influence rock and roll?

How did Elvis Presley influence rock and roll? :)|||Rock %26amp; Roll was different the time he started to sing. He changed the meaning of it when he did. Also, most of the Rock artists today wouldn't even exist without his influence|||Elvis was kind of like a pioneer in rock. Before him, all of the mainstream music was "innocent" and "bugglegum pop". Rock was starting to be formed by artists like Buddy Holly and Bobby Darren, etc,...

Then Elvis became popular. His music was different and controversial, and parents hated it, the kids loved it. When he was getting popular, a lot of other artists were coming out with R%26amp;B/ rock styled music also, which was very new. (think little Richard)

After Elvis...think the British Invasion. (the beatles, etc.) :D|||He was at it from the very beginning.

Yes, there were many black rhythm and blues legends years and decades before Elvis, but he was able to popularize it for everybody.

Basically, rock and roll began with Elvis - over 55 years ago.|||By making it popular to the white record buying public. Bill Haley made a few hits but hadn't got the charisma of Elvis|||By shaking his booty and driving the women wild!

Oh, and singing, too.|||by...inventing it?|||A white man making rock n roll meant white people could enjoy that music as well.|||You've been a wonderful audience......thank you very much!|||well he carried the stuff he gor from bb king ......
